2027 International Mahjong Card

A new year of play is here with the 2027 International Mahjong Card (IMC)—thoughtfully updated with more lines, an improved layout, and a new beginner section designed to support players as they learn, grow, and play.

Created to bring clarity and consistency to modern Mahjong, the IMC offers a fresh collection of challenging and engaging hands for players of all experience levels. The thoughtfully organized format makes it easy to navigate the card at the table, while the new beginner section provides additional guidance for those building their confidence and understanding of the game.

At its heart, the International Mahjong Card celebrates the rich traditions and global influences that have shaped Mahjong. The IMC draws inspiration from elements of Wright-Patterson play, including terminals 11s and 99s, while also honoring aspects of Japanese Riichi Mahjong and the classic Pungs and Chows found in traditional Chinese Mahjong. These influences come together in a modern style of play designed to connect players across generations, experience levels, and Mahjong traditions.

Accessibility also remains an important part of the IMC. The card is thoughtfully designed with players in mind, including those with color-vision differences, helping create a more inclusive experience around the table.

Whether you are discovering the IMC for the first time or looking forward to a brand-new year of hands, the 2027 International Mahjong Card offers more ways to challenge yourself, build your skills, and enjoy meaningful time around the table.

Best of all, 15% of every IMC sale is donated to charities supporting Alzheimer’s research, awareness, and the search for a cure—a cause close to our hearts.
